Max’s Story

When I found out about Max’s life it broke my heart. I would bring him to and from work with me to give him an outlet. I quickly realized he was in worse shape than I thought.

Max is a purebred German Shepherd. He was born in 2019 and unfortunetly spent the first 5 years of his life in a crate or in the house.

Max was super skinny and had no hair on his tail as a result of anxiety from no stimulation.

One morning I had to let myself in the house to grab max for the day. He was usually at the front door but this time he wasn’t. I called his name before stepping inside and all I heard was a bark. I walked into one of the back rooms and found max in a crate.

After that, I didn’t want to drop max back home. it broke my heart to watch him run inside like the loyal boy he is. I felt helpless, nothing I said did anything. all I could do was take him out and make sure he was getting what he needed.

Max and I were 2 peas in a pod. always together and always exploring somewhere new. We became best friends from the first night we met.

The end of January 2025, Max’s owner unfortunately passed away. I got the call and it was either I pick up Max or he goes to the shelter. without skipping a beat I was on my way to Max’s house to pick him up. I opened the car door, called his name, and he came running. from that moment on, he was officially part of the family (I didn’t even asked my parents) and I dedicated my life to making sure Max gets the one he has always deserved.
